But customers wanted something more: a single pen that could handle both erasable notes and writing they wanted to keep. Inspired by this feedback, Pilot developed FriXion Ball Switch through extensive testing and refinement, creating the first FriXion pen to combine erasable and non-erasable inks. Launched in 2026, as the FriXion series celebrated its 20th anniversary and reached 5 billion units sold worldwide, it brings together the freedom to change your mind and the confidence to make your words last.

The Pilot FriXion Ball multicolor ballpoint pen line combines the convenience of choosing between three erasable ink colors—Black, Blue, and Red—as well as a 0.7mm permanent, oil-based ballpoint pen. You can easily switch between using the erasable ink or a regular ballpoint ink all in one pen! The clip-slide lever holds the regular ballpoint pen refill to easily distinguish between the erasable and oil-based inks.

To celebrate this ultimate fusion, this collaboration includes one surprise collectible Dragon Ball Z sticker!
