About Honjo Ayako:

Honjo Ayako is an illustrator and designer who works between Hateruma Island in Okinawa, Japan’s southernmost island, and Osaka. Her gentle watercolor palette and heartwarming motifs have a soothing quality that resonates with viewers. She has designed many of Ryu-Ryu’s signature stationery products, several of which have become long-selling favorites, as well as numerous calendars released each year. Her work continues to attract fans of all ages.

Ryu-Ryu is a Japanese stationery manufacturer located in the quiet town of Ashiya City. Their brand concept is based on creating stationery products that fit into everyday routines and make life more enjoyable. After ten years of running a spaghetti and coffee shop, they began their company with just 9 postcard designs, and have since created many other products such as calendars, schedule books, letter sets, and greeting cards.
