Tomoe River Notebook. Tomoe River paper is famous for its smoothness and thinness. A common notebook typically uses paper at the weight around 80g-100g, comparing to Tomoe River at only 52g. Even though the paper is thin, it's famous for handling fountain pen ink very well. The paper shows excellent ink properties such sheen, shades and has really minimal bleed through. The new sub-dot grid pattern allows your ink to show through the dots in the dot grid pattern. Typically, with solid-colored dot grid patterns, when you write through the dot, the solid colored dot would show through your line stroke, interrupting your writing, but since the new sub-dot grid pattern uses dots that are each composed of even smaller dots with tiny spaces in between them, you can now write through the dot with no interruption in your beautifully colored writing.
